MEN WHO DIED FOR A COMRADE
At Haslingden Parish Church on Sunday there was a service in memoriam of Bombardier Wm Lane, Hargreaves Street, and Sergt. Geor. Dewhurst, of 2, Carrgate, Dog Kennel Road, both of whom died from gas through trying to rescue a wounded comrade.
