His nearest relatives, a sister and a brother have been officially informed that Private Herbert Haworth, who resided in Warwick Street, Haslingden, and who was in the Monmouthshire Regiment, has died of wounds at the front.
He was 22 years of age, and before joining up in March, 1916, he worked as a weaver at Hargreaves Street Mill. He attended Trinity Baptist Church and Sunday school, and went to the front in March of this year. He was a member of the Weavers Union.
