Commemorated Vis-En-Artois Memorial.

Newspaper Memorials:

In loving memory of my dear husband, Private Thomas Entwistle (59598 - Northamptonshire Regiment), who was killed in France, September 29th 1918.

"Dear husband, I'll miss you as days go by,
No flowers can I place on the grave where you lie,
For the dark waters keep us apart,
But your ever loving face still lives in my heart.

"I will not be long," he told us,
As he shook us by the hand,
But God has postponed the meeting,
Until we meet in the better land."

From his sorrowing wife and son, Thomas, 33 Parkinson Street, Haslingden.

"We little thought when we said good-bye,
We parted for ever, and you were to die;
Oh! the grief that we feel words cannot tell,
For we could not be with you to bid you farewell.

Too far away thy grave to see,
Yet we will always think of thee."

Sadly missed by father, mother, and brother in law, 33 Parkinson Street, Haslingden.
