HASLINGDEN TAILOR - KILLED IN ACTION
Private John Davies, who was for four years a tailor with his uncle, Mr. F.C. Drake, Haslingden, and was connected with Manchester Road Wesleyan Chapel and Sunday School, has been killed in action.
His father resides at Headingley, Leeds.
He was brought up by his Grandmother (Mrs. Drake's mother) at Pontefract.
In build and in general characteristics he was a fine type of young man.
